PTS TRAINS JUNIOR SPECIALISTS INHOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME
SCHWERIN
For the very first time, the PTS Schwerin plant itself is training junior employees. The first trainee, Ms. Saskia Kropf, joined the PTS team at the beginning of the training on September 1. Ms. Kropf is doing an apprenticeship as a machining mechanic, which will cover a period of 3 1/2 years.
The PTS-precision GmbH is the largest CNC long turned parts manufacturer in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. With over 60 high-tech CNC machines, PTS produces around 300,000 high-precision long turned parts and gear components every day. They deliver to customers worldwide, including many well-known companies, primarily from the automotive supplier and power tool industries.
The shortage of skilled workers in connection with the growing requirements in quality and process performance is an increasing problem, which PTS-precision GmbH counteracts by personal action. The management therefore has deceided to invest in the peripheral and social environment of the company in addition to their own training in the factory. "Setting up a high-precision component with µ tolerance and process stability on a CNC machine with up to 12 axes and weighing several tons is a more than exciting challenge," says training manager Alexander Wartha. There will also be a training position for 2019. Applications can be sent directly to MEINJOB@PTS-PRECISION.DE.
